WHO WE ARE?

The LA DESPENSA website grew out of the “VEREDAS, Island Network for the Promotion of Local Products”, funded by the European initiative INTERREG IIIB. The Tenerife Island Authorities, the Tenerife Rural Foundation, the Gomera Island Authorities, the Ponta Delgada Chamber of Commerce (Azores), the Asociacion Santana Ciudad Solidaria (Madeira), the Angra do Heroismo Chamber of Commerce (Terceira, Azores) and the Young Farmers’ Association of Madeira and Porto Santo are all members of this initiative.

The TENERIFE RURAL FOUNDATION manages this web portal in Tenerife, in its capacity as member involved in this project. This body is an institution operating within private industry, created as an organisation for the promotion of Tenerife’s rural environment – a field in which the foundation has broad experience.
